The BIG Net Zero Breakfast

Client: Net Zero APPG & 3Ci

Services: Events, Party conferences

Year: 2024

The Brief

Inflect worked with the Net Zero APPG and 3Ci to deliver The BIG Net Zero Breakfast – an interactive, high-profile gathering at Labour Party Conference focused on unlocking investment to deliver the UK’s clean energy future

The Work

With a new Labour Government in power and Net Zero at the heart of its clean energy mission, this flagship breakfast event brought together MPs, business leaders, investors, and civic voices to discuss how to turn Net Zero from ambition into action.

Hosted by 3Ci and chaired by its Director, Steve Turner, the session focused on the crucial question: “What should the Labour Government do to unlock investment and deliver a clean energy future to drive its mission for green growth across the UK?”

Also central to the debate was how Labour can forge deeper partnerships with regional and city leaders and the business community to embed Net Zero into future policy.

The room was packed with senior stakeholders across the public and private sectors, drawn by the calibre of the panel and the urgency of the topic. Panellists included:

  • Georgia Gould MP, Parliamentary Secretary at the Cabinet Office
  • Alex Sobel MP, Chair, Net Zero APPG
  • Bill Esterson MP, Chair, Energy Security and Net Zero Select Committee
  • Cllr James Lewis, Chair of Core Cities UK and Leader of Leeds City Council
  • Cllr Katherine Dunne, Cabinet Member for Climate, Hounslow
  • Clare Wildfire, Global Cities Lead, Mott MacDonald

The Impact

The BIG Net Zero Breakfast has quickly become a vital fixture of the conference circuit, uniting political and business voices to make the case for investment-led, locally driven green growth.
