The Work
The Trade Association Forum is the UK’s ‘association of associations’ originally set up by the UK Government in the late 1990s.
TAF was in a period of long-term decline – losing members and on a path towards insolvency. Without major intervention this much-loved 25 year-old institution was going to cease trading at the end of 2020.
TAF initially engaged Inflect to undertake a membership engagement exercise to underpin the development of a new strategy, but it quickly became apparent that a greater degree of intervention was required.
Inflect assumed the running of TAF, taking on all functions of the organisation, from leadership to ops and sales. Inflect instigated a turnaround programme – relaunching the member offer, delivering a successful and revenue-raising events programme, refreshing its corporate partnerships and delivering a renewed work programme. TAF is now financially stable, growing its membership base and once again able to look to the future.
