The Work
Inflect was commissioned by the Association of Revenue and Customs to build a compelling case for long-term investment in HMRC.
Through stakeholder engagement, a member survey, and a comprehensive report co-authored with a retired ARC member and HMRC official, we outlined how increased funding could improve public services and deliver better returns for government.
We launched the report with a high-profile Parliamentary panel event and secured meetings with key Treasury officials. Our efforts ensured Labour advisers remained engaged, leading to the Labour Party’s HMRC plan citing our findings and committing up to £855 million annually – closely aligning with our £900 million recommendation and delivering a significant win for our client.
“Inflect played a vital supporting role in helping the FDA make the case for serious investment in HMRC and in championing the CPS’s work to prosecute violence against women and girls. Their strategic advice, message development and behind-the-scenes support helped us engage senior decision-makers and secure meaningful outcomes. All of this ultimately strengthened our ability to advocate for the civil servants we represent.”
